DURATION :
Three months, approximately, with students meeting in person two hours every week and many more on online communication and collaboration activities.
MAIN OBJECTIVE:
Foster students' understanding of the main concept as well as the associated ideas pertaining to it. Raise awareness of the subconscious impact of stereotypes on peoples' attitude and human relationships.Create strong bonds among them.
SUB AIMS:
• Improve students' linguistic performance and self- assessment skills
• Foster social and communication skills through implemented group work activities
• Enhance empathic skills and minimize psychological barriers to learning. Encourage active participation of all students regardless of communicative and/or linguistic ability.
• Create the framework for students to become aware of their own assumptions and beliefs. Engage them in a meaningful and productive discourse aiming at shaping improved social relationships
• Incorporate ICT tools into the English course. Provide students with necessary training on using them to broaden existing knowledge and deepen understanding of global issues
• Clarify related concepts like tolerance, solidarity, diversity, equality, prejudice, stereotypes, racial supremacy, separatism, extremism and delve into the unseen, hidden part of inner self.
• Foster exploratory learning and shape a new learning experience.

PROCESS DESCRIPTION:
blended learning approach, graded process aiming at introducing students to the concept. Group work activities will be generally applied.
MATERIALS-TOOLS needed:
Pc, Internet connection, screen projector, microphones, web camera and loudspeakers. Use of a variety of software like Glitterfy, Wordle clouds, Puzzle Creator, Voki, Dropbox, Picassa, Slideshare, Office ppt, movie maker, wikispaces, mind mapping tools.
RESOURCES:
Youtube and other video hosting sites, online dictionaries, Wikipedia,
education communities and blogs will be visited to search, share and collaborate, regarding information on the issue.
EXPECTED END PRODUCT :
Posters, word puzzles, vokis, comics, e-books, photo albums and scrapbooks, powerpoint presentations, transcribed interviews, a short play, a short film, a book containing their creations and memoirs in print.
During the education week, a presentation of students' work will take place in a school assembly,as an integral part of the school events to be attended.
